Congrats on the baby! 🎉 For wage verification, you'll need recent pay stubs or a wage statement from your employer. When you talk to EDD, tell them you got the request but couldn't find a way to respond. Have your docs ready and ask them how to submit them.

Here's what you need to say when you get through:"Hi, I received a request for wage verification but couldn't find how to respond. I have my recent pay stubs ready. Can you guide me on the next steps?"Keep it simple and straightforward. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat, been waiting since May. The system is so backed up its ridiculous. Hang in there!

Pro tip: keep a log of all your calls, who you talked to, and what they said. It'll help if you need to escalate later.

Oof, wage verification is a pain. Make sure you have ALL your docs ready - pay stubs, W2, anything else that shows your income. Better to have too much than not enough!

I heard they updated their online system recently. Maybe check if theres a new way to upload documents now?

Whatever you do, DON'T give up. Keep calling, keep trying. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, ya know?

Hey OP, congrats on the new addition! 👶 Don't forget to take care of yourself during all this stress. EDD drama sucks, but your health (and the baby's) comes first! 💖

Remember, the people on the phone are just doing their job. Be nice, even if youre frustrated. A little kindness can go a long way!

While Claimyr can be a helpful tool for some, it's important to note that there are other ways to try and get through to EDD. Starting with calling early or late, trying the online system, or reaching out to local representatives can all be effective. Claimyr's service might be appealing because of the direct connection it offers, and many have vouched for its legitimacy and effectiveness. However, remember to consider the cost and assess if it’s the right choice for your situation.

Ugh, the EDD system is such a mess. I've been dealing with them for months and it's like talking to a brick wall. Good luck getting through!
Tell me about it! I feel like I'm playing phone tag with a ghost 👻

Thanks for the heads up. Any tips on getting through to a real person?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery!

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny IMO.

I tried it and it actually worked for me too. $20 is a bit steep, but if you're desperate, it might be worth considering. Just make sure you weigh your options!

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes the old school methods work best with these dinosaur systems 🦕📠

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, where would I even find a fax machine?

Some libraries still have fax services. Worth a shot if nothing else works!

You can also try using an online fax service. They’re pretty convenient and you don’t need to find an actual fax machine.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

I didn't even know that was an option. How do I find my assembly member?

Just google "[your city] assembly member". They usually have a form on their website for constituent services. Good luck!

It's a good idea to reach out to them. I've heard stories of people getting results much faster this way.

Anyone else feel like we need a support group for dealing with EDD? 😅 This stuff is stressful AF

Maybe we should start a discord server or something. Could be helpful to share tips and commiserate 🤔

I would definitely join. It’d be nice to have a community of people who understand the struggle.

Unpopular opinion: sometimes it's faster to just start over with a new claim. I know it sucks, but it worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for months.

Seriously? That seems so counterintuitive. Did you lose any benefits by doing that?

August 26 at 1:30 PM
Nah, they backdated it to my original claim date. Just make sure you explain the situation if you do this.

This is something to consider, but make sure to check with EDD first to ensure your benefits won't be affected.

Plot twist: what if we all showed up at the EDD office with lawn chairs and snacks? Can't ignore us if we're right there! 😂🪑🍿

Careful, they might hire us all as new phone operators. Then we'd be part of the problem! 😱

Has anyone tried the online chat feature? I heard its hit or miss, but sometimes you can get lucky.

I tried it once. Waited 2 hours to connect, then got disconnected after 5 minutes. 0/10 would not recommend.

It worked for me! But I had to try like 50 times before I got through. Persistence is key.

Maybe try using the chat at odd hours. Sometimes it's less busy then.
